Former BYU standout, Jimmer Fredette, hasn’t been able to duplicate his college success in the NBA.
At just the age of 27, Jimmer has already played for four different teams.

While this is a step backwards, it could end up putting Jimmer in a better position down the road.
Going to China isn’t some kind of death sentence.
Players such as Michael Beasley, Chris Andersen and etc have went to China to only earn roster spots in the NBA in return.
In the D-League this past season, Fredette averaged 21 points on 45.8 percent shooting and 41.1 percent shooting from distance to go along with 5.0 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game.
Nonetheless, after being called up by the Knicks, Fredette wasn’t able to produce.
Maybe, just maybe the sharp shooter will produce at such a level in China that forces some NBA team to take a chance on him in the spring.
Depending on how successful the Sharks are, the Chinese season will end in March at the latest, which would be right in time for a team to sign Fredette for the stretch run.
