Wade is a bigger candidate than Melo, since Melo if he wanted could force the Knicks hand and make them pay the $54 million they still owe him.
But, part of that is a player option, so if he wanted to become a free agent immediately he could take a buyout this year, but it is unlikely any team is going to give him what he is currently be paid with the Knicks.
