Here is what we know so far.
Keaton Jones was bullied at school and his mom took a video of it. It went viral and 100s of celebs and athletes came to Keaton’s defense.
When then found out his mom Kimberly was racist against a lot of the black athletes and entertainers who were sympathetic to her son.
Now, Keaton’s principal has come out in defense of the school. Here is what he said to USA Today.
The principal of a Tennessee middle school where a student’s video about bullying went viral over the weekend said Monday that he wasn’t aware of repeated bullying of the student and that the incident described in the video had been resolved.
In the video, Keaton Jones, a sixth-grader at Horace Maynard Middle School, describes having milk poured on him and ham put down his clothes at lunch.
“It’s not as rampant as the video would have you believe,” said Principal Greg Clay. “I can’t tell you what was done, but I can tell you action was taken with the children.”
“We’re having a good school year,” Clay said. “I’m sorry it’s like this. We all sympathize with Keaton and we’re doing everything we can to make sure it never happens again. Everybody saw the video and it was horrible. We don’t want anyone to feel like that. Keaton’s a good kid. We’ll take care of him.”
