As the Knicks make a last ditch effort to court LeBron James, it appears the one free agent they will sign, Amar’e Stoudemire, has plans of his own to build a dynasty if the Knicks can’t convince the King.
According to Stoudemire, he has talked to Carmelo Anthony and Tony Parker about joining him in the NYC. Here is what he had to say:
“I’ve talked to Carmelo Anthony that he needs to come out here,” Stoudemire said. “I’ve talked to Tony Parker. Both guys are ready to join me if I decide to come here. So we will see if we can work it out.”
Considering both Melo and Parker are under contract, it probably was not the smartest thing for Amar’e to sat, but at least he recongizes that he can’t do it alone and he needs a lot of help to turn the Knicks around.
At this point Carmelo is just a fantasy, while Parker is more of a possibility.
Then again, nothing happens until LeBron makes his decision.
The Summer of LeBron continues.

I have a few friends in the NYC and I heard it was hovering around 90 degrees. Why is Amar’e wearing a wool scarf?
See, it’s little things like that which would make me hesitate to give him max money, but I digress.
