Ravens all pro linebacker Terrell Suggs and fiance/girlfriend Candace Williams have been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons.
Suggs recently had to relinquish several of his firearms due to an ongoing domestic dispute with Ms. Williams. It then came to light that Suggs and Williams did indeed have an ongoing domestic situation taking place.
Williams had an order of protection placed against Suggs in November, and accused Suggs of punching her in the neck and dragging her along side a speeding car. Candace also has accused Terrell of abusing her before, and pouring bleach on her.
Suggs and Williams reached a resolution this morning on their ongoing custody issue and Candace removed the order of protection she had put in place according to the Baltimore Sun.
Suggs attorney spoke about the matter after the resolution.
“She has lifted the petition voluntarily, over and done, and he denies the allegations,” Lynn Hoffman, Suggs’ attorney, told The Baltimore Sun. “They’re moving forward in the best interests of the children and they’ve resolved their personal issues.”
Details of the custody, visitation and child support agreement are sealed.
Suggs will face no criminal charges related to the incident in September. Under Maryland law, because he was served with a protection order, he was forced to surrender all his weapons.
There has been no word on if and when Suggs will get those firearms back.
