I love my mom even though we have absolutely nothing in common. I am an only child so it’s not hard to believe that, in her eyes, I walk on water.
She loves to tell anyone who will listen the stories of my youth. One story she likes to tell is of when I was 10 or 11 years old and the Pastor of our church at the time came over for dinner. Before dinner we were watching a Miami Dolphins game; our pastor considered himself a bit of an NFL expert.
Believe it or not, I was a bit of a shy kid. Shockingly, even at a young age, where sports was concerned I knew what I was talking about. The Pastor kept going on about how great Dan Marino was and, as my mom tells it, I blurted out:
“Pastor Charles, I like Marino too, but if he keeps trying to force the ball into double coverage he is going to throw an interception.”
My mom says the Pastor laughed at that, but on the next play Marino was intercepted.
After dinner, the Pastor told my mom that I was an “interesting child” who had a unique way of speaking, that I was funny, witty, and polite, almost to a fault.
Twenty years later I am pretty much the same person, just with a few more “noho” stories.
What does any of this have to do with Tiger Woods?
Tiger Woods wants you to think that he has changed, but honestly we never change who we are at our core. We adjust and evolve, but never truly change.
This means that if Tiger Woods was a broho all these years, he is probably going to continue to be a broho now. No amount of sex rehab is going to correct that. If Tiger Woods – for lack of a better term – is a true asshole, then he will continue to be one no matter how many press conferences he has.
Tiger mentions how he felt “entitled” and once again he says he has changed, but his actions say otherwise. When you feel entitled it means that you think you can control everything around you, that you can change the rules and manipulate them to your favor.
Tiger’s new security team includes over 50 people, including former Secret Service and FBI agents. Last time I checked, Tiger was screwing porn stars and was not the President of the United States. Was Jack Bauer not available?
The Florida Times Union reports that Tiger’s CTU force is going a bit too far with the questions. Here are the details:
During a Masters practice round Monday at the Augusta National Golf Club, a member of the Woods detail approached a female fan on the fifth hole, armed with a cheat sheet (pun intended) of the mug shots of Tiger’s paramours. We’ll let CBSSports.com’s Steve Elling, who first reported the incident, tell the rest of the story:
“‘Ma’am, are you the stripper?’
“The security guard reached in his pocket and produced a sheet containing the color mug shots of Woods’ alleged mistresses.
‘”We’ve just got to be extra careful,’ the guard told the woman.
“She wasn’t quite sure how to react. But it was hard to view the inquisition as flattering.
“I’m not sure how to feel yet,” she told a TV producer who watched the entire episode.”
I am not a proponent of violence, but if someone said that to my lady there would have been some problems at Augusta. That is totally uncalled for. It isn’t the fans fault that Tiger Woods was a “Man Whore”. If the lady was a stripper what were they going to do, Chinese Water Torture her?
Tiger hasn’t changed; Tiger just got caught.
Point blank, period.
