I didn’t originally write about Arizona Cardinals DT Darnell Dockett’s shower exploits on Ustream mainly because I didn’t care about another man showering for a bunch of thirsty Twitter ladies.
The only reason I am posting this is because I find it ironic that earlier today Dockett was apologizing about his Twitter and Ustream exploits, but still seems to be on the bit sensitive side. Here is what Dockett had to say earlier in the day:
“I learned a lot from it,” Dockett said. “At first I thought it was a joke. Obviously it was not. I put my team in front of the media for things that weren’t appropriate. It was a learning experience.”
“You’ll never see me on no news or media like that again, unless it’s for me trying to take someone’s head off [on the football field],” Dockett said.
It hadn’t even been 24 hours since Dockett’s statements; Vernon Davis poked fun at Dockett’s shower scene on his Twitter and Dockett, via his Twitter is threatening to:
F*CK YOU UP!!
Doesn’t look like Dockett learned that much.
If you are going to get on cam for the Twitter ladies, you have to know there is going to be some clowning because to be honest… that is just a bit weird. That is just a part of Twitter life.
The problem is that Dockett just expressed that he would try to show a bit more restraint in the world of social media, but it doesn’t appear he can help himself.
Maybe Dockett and Davis are good buddies and this is how they joke around (I doubt it), but don’t say you aren’t going to be making headlines at 6pm and by midnight are saying things like:
Its nothing for me to play by other rules “my own rules” check my background!!
It is Dockett’s Twitter, so in my mind if he wants to shower, take a bubble bath with Rev Run, or beat down Vernon Davis he is well within his right, but don’t be hypocritical about it. Don’t say you are going to be “Mr. Good Tweet” if you can’t handle that reputation.

*Update*
Dockett, realizing the error of his ways has deleted the tweets, which I give him credit for, but he has to show more control of his emotions when he is engaging in Social Media.
