*Wait*
*What*
D Wade was the one before the season singing Erik Spoelstra praises, saying he was the man for the job, and he was the coach who would lead the South Beach NWO to multiple championships.
Now that they Heat hit a rough patch, he’s not your guy?
That is like hanging out with your boy all summer drinking beers, clubbing and getting girls, but when they find a couple of bags of weed when you two get pulled over you say:
“I wouldn’t say he is my friend, we just hang a bit.”
We have spent a lot of time talking about Lebron and even examining Chris Bosh. Wade, on the other hand, has gotten a pass but his hands aren’t clean in this.
Here are the facts, yes Wade has a ring, he has a rep as a serial killer, but 2006 is a long time ago.
Lebron may have a lot of issues, but he is a superior player to Wade and he is younger.
Wade could make a claim of being one of the best players in the game, but he can’t stay healthy. It doesn’t matter how talented you are, if you can’t stay on the court— ask Grant Hill, Tracy McGrady or Penny Hardaway.
Wade masterminded the whole South Beach NWO so he has to take some responsibility for its slow start. In all those secret meetings he had with Lebron, he never once asked Lebron if he would be willing to defer a little? Did Wade ever think to himself that bringing such a talented player into the fold might mean that he would have to readjust him game?
Erik Spoelstra is not a bad coach, but he is coaching a bunch of egomaniacs right now who are too busy posing in the mirror looking at their skinny jeans than taking their work on the court seriously.
Remember when when I tell you this: if this entire thing blows up in Pat Riley’s face, it won’t be Lebron that goes, it will be Wade.
