Good news for the Celtics.
If it was anything related to KG’s surgically repaired knee that would have been a big blow to the Celtics title hopes. In the grand scheme of things this is nothing.
As along as they take it slow and make sure he is 100% when he comes back.
Danny Ainge, speaking on Boston sports radio station WEEI, estimated Garnett would miss two weeks with the injury.
“It’s actually the muscle just off the side of the leg below the knee,” Ainge explained. “It’s not anything to do with his knee, which is great news. He may be out for a couple of weeks, at the most. … I think that’s on the conservative side.”
Even if you aren’t a Celtics fan, as a basketball fan you want them at full strength when the games really mean something.
It just makes for better basketball and better drama.
