Lamar Odom has been found and will rejoin the Mavs soon.
He wants out, but Mavericks owner Mark Cuban isn’t having it. The obvious choice if he was to be bought out would be for him to return to the Lakers, but Odom may have other ideas.
After speaking with a league executive Tuesday night, Hoops Authority has learned that Odom is seeking a buyout from the Mavericks, with his focus set on taking his talents to the Boston Celtics or New Jersey Nets.
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has vehemently denied a previous report by ESPNDallas.com documenting Odom’s request, but we have confirmed that such a request has been made.
I don’t think the Mavericks want a moody Odom on their squad, because when Lamar turns into Lam Lam he can bring a negative energy to any team.
The Mavs took a shot and it didn’t work out.
Buy him out, save some money on the cap and let Lamar Kardashian take his show on the road.
