For those who aren’t aware about a month ago we told the story of Ayana Marie and Denver Nuggets Center Javale McGee. Ayana wanted the world to know that hooking up and caring for an athlete sometimes isn’t as glamorous as it appears.
The story which you can read HERE details a five month relationship that culminated with a trip to Houston that went terribly wrong. While there are a lot of things about the story that are legitimate teaching tools for individuals who meet people online, what most people (and media) seemed to latch onto the fact that Javale didn’t purchase her any Chipotle.
At that point the story spiraled out of control.
As social media and the blogs got a hold of the “Chipotle Girl” story, McGee threw fuel on the fire by offering fans “Free Chipotle”. It got to the point that Ayana felt the need to speak out and try to clear the air.

Even I seeing how the original message was being lost try to help people understand there are rules to meeting people via social media.

But, like most of these stories as time goes past people move on to different things. Be it Chris Brown and Rihanna, Dwight Howard and his 5 Baby Mamas or Big Bird vs. Mitt Romney.
In the end it appeared that Ayana would go on with her life and Javale would move on with his, but this story has an epilogue and it is one that is much more serious than Chipotle or what is considered a groupie or a gold digger.
When ask who was the father she responded.
“My only concern is my unborn child, I’m not commenting publicly about anything else. You don’t like it? You can kiss my ass.”
When pressed further on the matter and that people would possibly assume she was implying in was Javale’s child. here is what she had to say.
“I don’t give a damn about what anyone says. They can all kiss my ass. I am not letting it effect me. Javale can kiss my ass too.”
So, for the record we don’t know who the father is, what we do know is Ayana met Javale on August 8th, 2012 and she announced she is pregnant on October 6th, 2012.
You can speculate, but that is all we know.
Usually there is a singular lesson in these type of situations, but there are a lot of different way you can look at this and multiple lessons can be learned.
Maybe the #1 thing is that every potential person you have sex can be your potential partner in parenting, so think long and hard if you are a male or female about who you are sleeping with.
