The St Louis Cardinals are doing it again–flourishing in the post season. They handed a loss against the Atlanta Braves in a 6-3 comeback victory, showing the baseball world that they’re poised to make another run for it all.
The Cardinals do their best work in the post season, while the Atlanta Braves continue to prove that they’re quite the opposite in that they struggle mightily in the post season. The Cardinals came up big with a booming homer from Matt Holliday pulling the Cards to a 4-2 lead. The Cardinals took advantage of the Braves’ 3 total errors in the game, and the Braves woes with runners in scoring position (RISP) also contributed to their loss.
Controversial call or no controversial call the Cardinals earned their way to another trip to the NLDS. The magnificent pitching of Jason Motte, along with their timely hitting behind the plate will prove to be a winning combination as their journey progress. The next stop for the Cardinals is back home in St. Louis where they’ll meet the Washington Nationals in a best of five Divisional series.
