After going 10-6 and making their first playoff berth in years last season many were expecting huge things from the Detroit Lions this season. Fast forward 10 games and the Lions are 4-6 and on the outside looking in as far as the playoff race.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford seems to have regressed, Calvin Johnson has had nagging injuries all season, and that dominant defensive line doesn’t seem as dominant as before.
However if you ask Ndamukong Suh, the Lions are still in position for a playoff run.
Per the Detroit Free Press: “We’re still in the race,” Suh said Tuesday, via the Detroit Free Press. “We made it a lot tougher than we did last year. It’s a tough position to be in, but it’s a hole that we dug ourselves in, and it’s something that we need to take care of if we want to get to the next level.”
“This is a great way to get out of the hole and make some noise. People always say if you want to win a championship, this is the time to get hot.”
The Lions fan in me wants to believe Suh badly. But I just don’t see it this year for my Lions.
Hope I’m wrong.
