Linebacker James Harrison has been an integral part of the Steelers defensive for almost a decade now. Harrison’s story journeyman linebacker to perennial pro bowl linebacker is a heartfelt one, but according to Jason La Canfora, it’s probably over.
La Canfora and CBS Sports is reporting that the Steelers may not bring back the 34-year-old Harrison and his $6.57 million salary.
Harrison has been hampered by injuries in the past few seasons and the Steelers already have money tied up in LaMarr Woodley and Lawrence Timmons.
The Steelers failed to reach the postseason and already have a $7.5 million salary tied up into oft injured safety Troy Polamalu.
