Earlier this morning we reported on the anonymous Saints player who ripped defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, calling him a “control freak”, “who treats people like crap.”
Well the anchor and captain of the defense Jonathan Vilma got words of said comments and was none to pleased. According to the Times-Picayune, Vilma was having none of it, wanted to know who said it, and stated “we are not the Jets.”
“No. I’m bothered you reported it. We’re not the Jets who run to the media for everything.”
“That’s not the question or the point. If he’s man enough to tell you, he should be man enough to put his name on it. And you should do the same.”
We are going to call this the season of the anonymous quote. Put your name on it people.
