The Minnesota Vikings don’t want to pay Percy Harvin Megatron money, and they don’t intend to trade him, so we have a stalemate.
The one thing that is for certain judging from some of Harvin’s teammates, is that he’s wanted. Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder was on KFAN recently, and made it clear that his teammates want Harvin back.
“Obviously we want Percy back. He’s a tremendous player and he’s a Viking. And those are tough shoes to fill and we don’t want to fill them. He’s a heck of a player and a heck of a part of this offense and this team in general. Of course we want him back.
Ponder was then asked about his relationship with Harvin.
“Yeah … during the offseason last year [we] spent some extra time together and we had conversations, and he was great for me. He was like, ‘If you’re ever watching film, shoot me a text or call me and tell me I need to be watching this.’ Yeah, we had a good relationship.”
Obviously, it’s essential for Ponder who is entering an important year in his development and future contract status, to have Harvin in the fold.
Most of Ponder’s early season success was due to having Harvin in the lineup. Ponder is not the same quarterback when Harvin is on the bench.
