Terrell Suggs: I didn’t Believe in Kaepernick before the Super Bowl, but I was Wrong

Terrell Suggs chases down Kaepernick

Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs has never been known to hold his tongue when asked an opinion on a topic. Always good for a quality quote, T-sizzle had this to say when talking about San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Per the Jim Rome Show: “Going into the game, I thought it was all hype,” Suggs told Jim Rome. “He’s only had nine starts and then I’m going down the line at the teams he’s playing and I’m like ‘OK, alright, he’s got some good stats, but we will see.’”

After Kaepernick’s performance in the Super Bowl in which he threw for 300 yards and rushed for another 60, Suggs became a believer.

When you go in there and you’re playing a guy like that, I hate quarterbacks, but that kid is the truth and I have the upmost respect for him,” Suggs said. “I don’t think he needs to hold his head down at all because he’s going to play in a few [Super Bowls].”

Colin Kaepernick is a young quarterback who will only continue to get better. Props to Suggs for giving credit where it is due.

In the end though, the Ravens had the last laugh regardless of how good Kaepernick played.
