According to Pro Football Talk, the Miami Dolphins have signed former Atlanta Falcons cornerback Brent Grimes to a one-year contract worth $5.5 million.
The deal comes with $2.25 million signing bonus with $750,00 of the base salary guaranteed.
Grimes, 30, received the franchise tag last year from the Falcons, but tore his Achilles tendon in the first week of the season. The Dolphins have been very active since free agency began, already signing players like former Pittsburgh Steelers Mike Wallace and tight end Dustin Keller, while locking up receiver Brian Hartline to a long-term contract.
