I’m not surprised by this nor should you be. Milton Bradley is crazy and needs an exorcist.
According to a story via Larry Brown Sports, the former Los Angeles Dodgers player, was sentenced to three years in prison for abusing his wife five times between 2011 and 2012. Bradley, was arrested in 2011 for swinging a bat at his wife, just after he was released by the Seattle Mariners.
Bradley was convicted in June on nine misdemeanor charges and faced over seven years in prison. He was found guilty of:
– four counts of spousal battery
– two counts of criminal threats
– one count of assault with a deadly weapon
– one count of vandalism
– one count of brandishing a deadly weapon
Bradley’s sentence calls for 960 days in jail (32 months), 400 hours of community service and five years of probation. Bradley also has to take an anger management class and complete a year of domestic violence counseling.
Bradley is appealing the sentence and is currently out on $250,000 bond, but is expected to be back in court next month. The former MLBer admits to having anger issues (as if we didn’t know) but says he never hurt anyone.
