You don’t put together a national championship college football team without being a master recruiter and Alabama’s Nick Saban is one of the best.
In a recent recruiting pitch the Crimson Tide gave its recruits 51 million reasons to choose Alabama. The mailer reads:
All nine members of The University of Alabama’s 2013 NFL Draft Class signed a 4-year contact to plan in the NFL. The combined worth of those contracts was in excess of fifty-one million dollars
When top high school recruits are obviously eyeing the NFL it’s pretty hard to compete with that pitch.
