The Yankees season should for all intents and purposes, be considered over.
Their ace CC Sabathia has had a disappointing season, now made all the more worse since being diagnosed with a grade 2 hamstring stain suffered in his most recent start.
This season has been Sabathia’s worse as he’s recorded a 4.78 ERA in 211 innings. This comes as perhaps the final nail to the Yankees coffin, as the team as tried to stay afloat in the hunt for the second wild card spot despite a multitude of injuries.
Sabathia is expected to need eight weeks to recover, the team might already be fishing by then.
