Cousins deal will include no early termination option, which could have been possible after the third year of the deal, a source said.
Sources say the Kings resisted the idea of giving Cousins a max deal without conditions in the contract.
The mercurial young center averaged 17 points and nearly 10 rebounds a game for the Kings last season.
