Derrick Rose is not the begging type.
Rose isn’t concerned about any kind of big three’s or go out and getting together a dream team. That’s not his style to recruit guys to play with him according to Rappler.com.
“I don’t recruit. If anyone wants to play with me, I don’t mind playing with … it could be anyone in the NBA, but as far as recruiting, I never did and never will,” Rose said.
Rose passed on recruiting guys like LeBron, and Dwyane Wade during the summer of 2010. He did play a part in getting Kirk Hinrich to the Bulls last off-season.
“Kirk is someone I could see playing alongside a long time,” Rose said last October. “When you’re a hooper and you know someone on the court is going into a battle with you, and he’s not giving up if he knows you are going to keep battling and I’m someone that will keep fighting to the end, and he’s the same as you, so why not have him on the team? Kirk is the first person I recruited.”
Rose is not a recruiter no. Don’t think for one minute though, that if Carmelo or LeBron wanted to speak to him next summer about joining the Bulls that Rose wouldn’t listen or talk.
