Kevin Durant Says Marcus Smart Could Play In The NBA Now

Kevin Durant Says Marcus Smart Is NBA Ready.

Marcus Smart showed why he’s the best point guard in the country last night. The all-american had 39 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals and 2 blocks.

Not only did Smart ‘wow’ America, but he impressed a particular NBA superstar.

Ever heard of a guy named Kevin Durant?

“That is a tough shot to make, and that is a gutsy shot to shoot (a pull up three in transition that Smart made),” Durant told USA TODAY Sports after the game. “But he earned the right to take those shots. Marcus can play in the league right now. Definitely.”

“He is poised,” Durant said. “And the extra year will help him out as far as knowing the game more. I wish him good luck.”

Many people were surprised Smart didn’t bolt to the NBA after his freshmen campaign, but he wanted to improve his game in certain areas. You got to respect him for that.
