Coming off a performance in which Colin Kaepernick dropped back to pass 26 times, but only managed 46 yards, you knew the critics and pundits were going to come out.
That performance plus some other less than stellar outings from Kaepernick have raised questions about his development and progress as a quarterback.
ESPN analyst and former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer ripped into Kaepernick this week, calling him a “remedial passer after his first read is taken away.”
Kaepernick responded on Wednesday via the San Francisco Chronicle.
“I didn’t hear what he had to say, but he’s not in the building with us,” Kaepernick said, via the San Francisco Chronicle. “So what he’s saying really doesn’t affect me at all. I’m worried about what this team thinks, and what I’m doing in here with my teammates.”
“I think you should ask him if he knows what my progression is first before he says that,” Kaepernick said.
The addition of Michael Crabtree from injury should provide some help for an anemic passing game with no outside weapons.
