Andre Johnson did his part giving back this holiday season, and more.
As the Texans give the city of Houston not much to cheer about on the field, Johnson does his part off the field for the city.
Johnson invited 12 children from children’s protective services to bring their siblings to Toys R Us. When at the store the children had 80 seconds (representing his jersey number) to pick out anything and everything they could fit into a shopping cart.
Johnson also threw in a gaming console and two games. By the time the kids checked out their new gifts, the grand total came to a whopping $17,352.00. But surely, no amount could measure the happiness he brought to those kids with his generous act.
This is Johnson’s seventh year doing such a thing.
