There has been a lot of speculation about Jim Mora Jr bolting UCLA to take the Washington job after USC announced yesterday that they hired Steve Sarkisian. Mora had described Washington as his dream job and that he would crawl to get there if offered. Well fear not Bruins fans, it looks like he is staying:
BREAKING Jim Mora will the remain the head coach at #UCLA, source told CBS. #Washington

Mora has done a great job of re-energizing the UCLA program which could become a monster if USC continues to stumble. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mora still ended up with a raise or at least some extra money for his assistants.
I 100% believe that this was leaked during Steve Sarkisian’s introductory press conference on purpose though. You have to love rivalries.
*Update* Bruin Report is now reporting that Mora’s new deal is in the 3 mil/year range, with money for assistants, and they found a big donor for a football only facility. Leverage works in your favor.
