Scary moment for the Cincinnati Reds when Aroldis Chapman was struck by a line drive hit on Wednesday. Chapman was subsequently carted off the field and went in for surgery on Thursday.
Chapman will have a metal plate inserted to help repair a broken bone above his left eye, which will remain there permanently. Chapman suffered a minor concussion from the hit and barring no complications he is expected to return in 6 to 8 weeks.
Lucky isn’t a big enough word to describe how fortunate he is to have just suffered the minor concussion, the injury was a grusome one an and not for the feint of heart.
