Michael Vick has sat back and watched free agency play out in front of him until now.
Eliot Shorr-Parks is reporting that Vick will meet with Jets brass on Friday, and could end up signing there as well.
If all goes well for Vick in New York this weekend, he could sign. That is bad news for #Eagles fans and Geno Smith. #Jets

Vick, the top free agent quarterback on the board had been quiet about his plans until now.
Vick is planning on visiting the Jets this weekend, a source close to the situation has told NJ.com. This will be Vick’s first official visit, and could be his last if all goes well. And the pressure could be on the Jets to land a free agent, given a methodical and fruitless approach that has left fans impatient and critical of general manager John Idzik — while the Giants have been on a shopping spree.
Vick is looking for a starting job, but the Jets — while they won’t declare the quarterback situation settled — seem committed to second-year Geno Smith.
Vick is likely to sign with the Jets if offered, because he probably believes that he can take Smith’s job and be a mentor at the same time.
