Reading through the allegation it appears Shaq maybe have been joking around with this guy and seriously hurt him or the guy realized a payday could be involved and is pretending to be hurt.
Either way the police in Atlanta are investigating according to Channel 2 in ATL.
“(The co-worker) alleged Shaquille O’Neal tackled him to the ground causing injury to his back while they were at work at Turner Studios,” said Sgt. Greg Lyon with the Atlanta Police Department.
The incident took place on May 19 at the studios located at Techwood Drive and 10th Street.
Robert Williams went to the Atlanta Police Department and said that Shaq tackle-punched him, knocking him down and falling on top of him.
Sources told Young that Williams suffered serious injuries.
Shaq’s attorney Dennis Roach says it was just a horseplay gone wrong, no police were called at the time, but now they are involved.
Lawyers for Robert Williams say it was a lot more than horseplay. Here is how Williams described the incident.
“While at work at Turner Studios on May 9th 2013, about 12:30am, as I was performing my duties at work, Shaquille O’Neal ran out of a room and hit me with a tackle punch to the back knocking me down and falling on top of me injuring my neck and back.”
The infamous Tackle Punch strikes again. Williams didn’t file his police report until two months after the incident occurred.
The investigation is ongoing.
