New Texas Longhorns football coach is starting his tenure off by letting his new team know he’s not going to allow certain things to happen amongst his squad. CBS Sports reports that Strong has dismissed senior FB Chet Moss and DB Leroy Scott for unspecified violations of team rules.
Scott primarily played on special teams for the Longhorns but was named co-special teams player of the year in 2013. He did also have 3 fumble recoveries on defense and was most likely going to see increased playing time in the upcoming college football season. Moss was also primarily a special teams player, and this isn’t his first time violating team rules. During the 2013 season, he was suspended for the Thursday night game against Texas Tech.
The Longhorns have not gone into further detail as to what caused these dismissals.
