Carlos Boozer is all but done with the Chicago Bulls and head coach Tom Thibodeau has slowly lessened Boozers minutes over time.
Boozer for his part has started to realize that the Taj Gibson era is in full bloom in Chicago, while he looks towards an amnesty this summer and a new team. Boozer admits that the situation is frustrating, but told the Chicago Tribune that he’s adjusting to his evolving role on the Bulls.
“I’ve just adjusted,” he said. “I’m doing whatever I can to help my team in the minutes I’m out there. I’m being a team player. It’s all about winning. You make sacrifices for the betterment of the group. That’s what we’re all doing.
“Each night, there are different challenges depending on matchups and how often you touch the ball because that varies. But the intensity is always there. The passion is always there. Playing hard to win is always there. The numbers may vary, but the winning part is always there.”
I can appreciate Boozer’s professionalism amid adversity. He could definitely disrupt the Bulls chemistry as they roar into the playoffs with the opportunity to make a lot of noise.
