Back when everyone had their NBA season prediction posts and projections, ESPNs SCHOENE system predicted the Knicks would go 37-45. Since they won 54 games the year before that, you can understand why they were a bit upset. This is what Mike Woodson had to say then:
Do they play? It’s a computer system. So I don’t think computers run up and down the floor. You still gotta play the game. I don’t get caught up into that. Bottom line is we take it one game at a time and put our best foot forward and we try to win. That’s what it’s all about.
I have no control over the computers, I really don’t. All I can control is our team and how we play, and that’s all I’m going to try to do.
Melo said something about “computers have glitches” as well but guess what? The computer got it exactly right. The unfortunate thing for the Knicks is that the computer actually had them still making the playoffs so I bet they wish the computer was 100% right.
I bet the computer is hitting a Nae Nae right now. Poor Knicks.
