Andy Greder of the Pioneer Press is reporting that the veteran forward has been charged with felony domestic assault, according to the Hennepin County attorney’s office. Cunningham was arrested early Thursday morning.

The details in the complaint are serious and not good.
A woman, who has been dating Cunningham since last summer and living with him for eight months, called 911 at about 3:30 a.m. They have been having problems recently. They got in an argument and she locked a bedroom door after Cunningham left.
A short time later, Cunningham returned and kicked in the door. He grabbed her by the neck and slammer her against the wall and strangled her for about 15 to 20 seconds before letting her go and leaving the home.
Police said he returned to the home about 15 minutes later and was arrested without incident.
Cunningham is averaging six points and four points and has appeared in all 74 games this season.
