Bills’ Marcell Dareus Arrested 2nd Time in Three Weeks

Marcell Dareus

The Buffalo News is reporting that Bills DT Marcell Dareus was arrested last Friday and charged with three misdemeanor and four vehicle and traffic charges in the town of Hamburg, New York, in relation to a car race that took place on an unspecified date. The misdemeanor charges Dareus is facing include reckless endangerment, reckless driving and participating in an illegal speed contest, with the most serious being the reckless endangerment charge, a Class A misdemeanor that carries a sentence of up to one year in jail.

This is the second time in less than a month that the talented Dareus has been arrested, after he was picked up in early May by the Cleburne County (Ala.) Sheriff’s department for possession of synthetic marijuana. Depending on what happens with both these sets of charges, Dareus could be looking at some sort of penalty from the league for violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
