The World Cup’s goal-line technology was used for the first time in France’s 3-0 win over Honduras today.
France’s forward Karim Benzema hit the ball at the post and it looked like it was not a goal. However, Honduras’ goalkeeper Valladares fumbled the ball across the line. This fumble along with the assisted goal-line technology allowed referee Sadro Ricci to award the goal to France.
We finally got to see the tech in action!
