Di Maria appeared to have suffered a thigh injury. He contributions to Argentina are numerous. He was responsible for the game winner against Switzerland, and was essential in assisting Ganzola Higuain in the goal that was the eventual demise of the Belgians. For Di Maria, it is enormous that it isn’t a serious injury, but Argentina will be feeling the sting of his absence against the formidable Netherlands.
