According to WorldBoxingNews.Net Adrien Broner will take on Emanuel Taylor (18-2, 12 KOs) on September 6th, a week before Floyd Mayweather’s PPV bout.
The fight will take place at US Bank Arena in Cincinatti, Broner’s hometown. It seems like all of the chips are stacked in Broner’s favor. The late announcement barely give Taylor 5 weeks to enter camp and train for the fight while broner has known about his September 6th fight date for a month now.
Taylor’s manager Dave Price doesn’t seem to be concerned.
For those boxing fans that think this will be a pushover fight for Broner and he’ll just dance around the ring doing his best ‘Money’ Mayweather impression, Price has a statement for you.
Golden Boy has done everything in their power to keep Broner away from another Maidana-esque beatdown but eventually they’ll have to put him up against a legit contender.
