Rob Gronkowski has had a quiete offseason compared to his standards, and that may be a good thing. The Patriots star tight end has looked fragile over the past two seasons, while missing quite a few games with injury.
Gronkowski, who underwent surgery for a torn right ACL on Jan. 9, plans on participating in every single Patriots game this season.
“I’m planning on playing the whole season this year,” Gronkowski said Friday night during his Football 101 Women’s Clinic at a local high school.
The Patriots open the season Sept. 7 at the Miami Dolphins.
“I’m always antsy to get back on the field, no matter when it is,” he said. “I just want to play football. I love playing the game.”
Gronk is likely to start training camp on the PUP list.
