Deontay Wilder has just destroyed his opponents for the past year and on August 16th he will do it again.
It was just announced that Wilder will take a tune up fight on the Shawn Porter and Kell Brook undercard on Saturday August 16th at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, California. Wilder is 31-0 (31 KOs) and he’s only been out of the 1st round once in his past 4 fights.
It’s about time that Wilder fought someone of promise and it seems as though a fall fight against Bermane Stiverne (24-1-1, 21 KOs) will be his first chance to do so.
It remains important that Wilder doesn’t overlook his cupcake of an opponent on the 16th because his boxing future relies upon him being undefeated.
“If Deontay does not win this, then there is no Stiverne and there is no G.I. Joe with the Kung Fu grip for his daughters and there is no house on the lake and there is no college fund; there is no tuition being paid,” said Wilder’s Manager Jay Deas.
