“The Alien” Bernard Hopkins will try to prove father time wrong once again when he takes on WBO Light Heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev.
This fight was a lock after Kovalev’s victory a few weeks ago and now the details of the fight have been announced.
Hopkins vs Kovalev will take place on November 8th at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ. Both Hopkin’s IBF title and Kovalev’s WBO title will be up for grabs in the fight.
Hopkins seems excited about locking up this fight:
“Atlantic City is a second home to me. Some of my most memorable victories and greatest accomplishments of my career have taken place there including my fights against Antonio Tarver and Kelly Pavlik. I expect Philly to represent and come out to Boardwalk Hall to see me make history once again.”
Hopkins turns 50 years old in January and conventional wisdom says that he will show signs of age sooner or later but until he slows down you can never count out “The Alien.”
