Yesterday, I wrote a piece about how Johnny Manziel was the media’s new hooker and they were going to pimp him out until he was of no use to them anymore. I specifically stated there will be a bunch of posts, features and debates that really have nothing to do with nothing, because they want to fuel to the fire.
For example, Manziel lost the starting QB job to Brian Hoyer, mainly because Hoyer is a vet and picked up things a bit quicker than Manziel. This isn’t unusual in the NFL. Manziel probably could have studied harder, but in the end his learning curve was just too steep. Instead of focusing on the boring aspects of the competition, we get stuff like this from Cleveland.com about Johnny being forced to sit alone at the lunch table.
When Manziel showed up for camp, he received a stern lecture from the Browns about his offseason escapades, which might be why he sat all alone in the cafeteria on his first day in Berea.
According to the NFL, this is bullying, so Manziel should sue for a billion dollars. I am being sarcastic, but this is how silly things have become.
Manziel is going to play eventually and if he is any good then he will continue to play, if he is bad the media will have more lunch money stories to hold you over.
