Irish head coach Brian Kelly was pleased with his team’s effort and he also acknowledged a special fan that was in attendance, which was none other than A-Rod himself.
“I thought that was neat. I really did,” Kelly said.
“I got a chance to hear from him that he thought it was one of the greatest experiences he’s had in terms of the atmosphere and being here at Notre Dame,” Kelly said. “It’s just another opportunity that somebody never had to be here and he said it was an incredible experience.”
