What better way to build up your NFL Draft buzz, than to slam last years top player.
The Clemson defensive end Vic Beasley was more productive than Jadeveon Clowney last year, racking up 13 sacks to just three for the eventual No. 1 overall pick.
Now Beasley has taken it a step further, claiming he’s flat-out better than Clowney.
“I feel like I’m the better player,” Beasley said, according to si.com.
“I feel like I’ve got the best first step in college football,” Beasley said.
Beasley strongly considered turning pro early last year, and was given a second-round grade by the NFL Draft Advisory Board, but opted to come back to Clemson for one more season.
That doesn’t sound like he’s a player than Clowney, but who am I to judge. He has two sacks for the Tigers in two games thus far.
