I understand that Jerry Jones is just playing the PR game like everyone else today, but during his time with the Cowboys he has been associated with a lot of players with suspect character and has supported them fully.
It is one reason players love him so much, but it makes this comment very hypocritical via Dallas Scout.
“There’s no question in my mind the emphasis that we have on spousal abuse in the NFL and the lack of tolerance for it,” Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan when discussing the video was released showing Baltimore Ravens standout Ray Rice striking his fiancee in a casino elevator in February. “It’s intolerable and it will be adjudicated accordingly.”
Jerry Jones is about to sign Dez Bryant to a contract extension.
In an emotional 911 call, the mother of Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant can be heard telling friends that her son “tried to kill me” and that she’s going to “put an end to it today.”
Angela D. Bryant told police that her son hit her across the face with a ball cap, pulled her hair, tore her shirt and bra, and repeatedly struck her hands and wrists when she tried to push him away, records released Tuesday by the DeSoto Police Department reveal.
“Babe, I can’t keep letting him do this. … I can’t let him do me like this. I’m tired. I’m going to put an end to it today,” the 37–year-old woman can be heard telling someone else in the room during her call to 911.
Bryant surrendered to authorities Monday on a Class A misdemeanor warrant for assault with bodily injury and immediately posted bond. If convicted, he faces up to one year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
