With stories of football players involved in violent crimes, domestic violence and assault against people you would think that all football players are bad people. Well with this story coming forward of five California football players being arrested and charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, harassment and conspiracy just makes you cringe to hear.
The five players allegedly involved identified as James Williamson, Corey Ford, Jonathan Barlow, Rodney Gillin, and D’Andre Dunkley all football Players of California University brutally stomped a man so severe that he suffered severe injury to his brain.
Witnesses watched as the five players stomped the man unconsciousness and flee the scene yelling “football strong”. To the make the story worse emergency workers reportedly visualized a footprint on he victim face.
The altercation reportedly started when the victim (Lewis Campbell) confronted one of the players for talking to his girlfriend. The five players charged are being held on $500,000 bond.
The incident led to the university canceling its football game against Gannon. Lewis Campbell is in intensive care unit at Allegheny General Hospital.
