Carmelo Anthony has a new coach in New York and with Derek Fisher’s new system, the infamous triangle offense, Anthony doesn’t foresee a scoring title in his near future.
Per ESPN’s Ian Begley, Anthony believes that the system provides more of a balance.
Carmelo said he may take fewer shots and score less this season as a result of the triangle. #Knicks

Melo, '12-'13 scoring champ, doesn't expect to win it this year. "Especially in this system now, I don’t think I’ll be the scoring champ."

Melo: "I think shots will be fewer, I think it will be more effective shots…But I really don't know" because NYK has only played preseason

The guess here is Melo hopes that he won't bear as much of the offensive burden because the system will produce quality shots for teammates.

With Kevin Durant out, Carmelo winning doesn’t seem too far fetched, BUT we still have Russell Westbrook out there. I expect Westbrook to have a break-out season with Durant out.
