I wonder how much Jerry had to pay, because of course terms were not disclosed. A stripper sued Jerry Jones for allegedly assaulting her in a restaurant bathroom five years ago after photos of the incident were leaked.
According to SI, Jones decided hush money was the way to go.
The sexual assault lawsuit against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was closed Thursday morning, court records show.
The Dallas County District Court coordinator told KRLD’s L.P. Phillips that the two parties in the suit, Jones and Jana Weckerly, settled it through mediation. The record shows that the parties were ordered to mediation Oct. 3, and a deal was reached early Thursday morning.
Terms of the settlement were not disclosed. Both sides of the lawsuit are barred from disclosing information related to the settlement and discussing the case with the media per the terms of the agreement.
Basically, Jerry paid her off for her silence, since she can no longer speak on the matter. On the record they are saying no money was exchanged.
“We are pleased with the Court’s Judgment against Ms. Weckerly,” says Levi McCathern II, the attorney representing the Cowboys and Jones, in a brief statement sent to The Dallas Morning News. “Ms. Weckerly’s allegations were false. This case is over.”
Thomas Bowers, Weckerly’s attorney, says he and his client “do not contest the Judgment as entered by the Court. Neither Jerry Jones nor the Cowboys organization has paid us any money.”
You can make up your own mind if you believe that or not.
