When terrible things happen, such as cancer befalling a six-year-old child; there isn’t much positive that can be said of the situation.
However, when former MLB manager and current executive Joe Torre heard about six-year-old Kansas City Royals fan Noah Wilson’s battle with Ewing sarcoma, a rare bone cancer, and his family’s desire to send him to a Royals World Series game; he immediately intervened in an awesome way:
On behalf of @MLB we would like #NoahWilson to be our guest @ the 2014 #WorldSeries. Save the money for school! @RyanZOnline DM @DanScavino

The “money” Torre is referring to is the $8,995 raised in a go fund me account with assistance from StubHub to send the boy and his family to the game, in addition to assisting with rising medical costs.
