Former NY Giants lineman, Luke Petigout, has been charged for sexual assault. This adds to Petigout’s long rap sheet of violent arrests on his record. He was arrested in New Jersey around 6am Tuesday morning.
“It happened at her house where he’s not supposed to be,” the source said.
Petitgout’s attorney, reacting to the charges, slammed the allegations as “baseless.”
“We intend to vigorously defend against the charges,” Patrick J. Jennings of Hackensack, N.J. told The News.
The 38-year-old was charged with sexual assault with force and simple assault while ordered held on $50,000 bail, Bergen County jailhouse records show.
In August 2013, Petigout’s wife accused him of assaulting her in the Meatpacking District. Harassment charges were filed but eventually tossed out when Petigout’s wife stopped cooperating with authorities. In June of this year, Petigout was accused of punching a man in a club, but his attorneys argued that the accuser only wanted a payout.
